Open Doors

6 November 2008

Last month saw the first of a series of client open evenings held by CIVIC. A small gathering of our closest clients were taken through the web evolution from design and technical viewpoints.
It was a great evening with lots of clients meeting each other for the first time. So good in fact that the next one is coming up in December, with a focus on making your content work for you. More details to follow shortly.

New recruits

3 November 2008

This week we welcome two newbies to the fold.
First up is Kelly Jones, our brand new Content Analyst who swells the depleted numbers of the Content team and will be our new SEO, Analytics and Information Architecture guru.

And James Ferguson is our new designer who adds some extraordinary Flash skills to the Creative team's portfolio.

JAVA group meeting

5 November 2008

CIVIC have hosted recent Java User Group Scotland (JUGS) events for Java developers north of the border. Members gather to listen to luminaries discuss new Java development technologies and share their expertise. They will be sharing their wisdom on Groovy and Dynamic Developer Productivity at the next meeting.

Want to know more about Java user groups? Take a browse around the UK JUGS website.

Who's the DADI?

We're proud to announce a new trophy for our cabinet. Last week our MD returned from the Dadi Awards ceremony in Leeds, clutching a shiny award for the Air Discount Scheme for "Best Use of Technical Innovation".
