For our holiday cards this year we came up with the concept of doing Christmas on a shoestring. We came up with shoestringxmas.com, an in-house built twitter aggregator.
#ShoestringXmas
Here's what we did
To promote the use of the #shoestringxmas hash tag on twitter and to inform people of the launch we took traditional Christmas cards that staff had saved from years before and made mini reused cards. We had a rubber stamp created with our logo, message and charity, to whom we donated the money saved from doing traditional cards. We also made a short stop-motion video of the development of the project.
The project was a great success, amounting almost 1000 page views in the first three days and we received lots of positive feedback from clients, peers and through twitter.
